Kim's Story

Born out of my second battle with breast cancer, The Woman in Pink originated as a vision to assist other women in their fight with cancer by providing wigs in a salon environment - free of charge. My dream is now a reality.

This dream began in the middle of the night on July 30, 2011. God inspired me to pick up my drawing pad and pencil and begin sketching what would become the face of The Woman in Pink. That first night He laid two sketches on my heart. Through those two sketches, God has opened the doors for me to minister to countless women and raise cancer awareness in the community through festivals and speaking engagements. These opportunities, coupled with community donations, have made it possible for us to open the doors of The Woman in Pink Wig Boutique and will help us continue “sHAIRing Hope” in Gaston County and the surrounding areas.

My prayer is that every woman who visits the boutique will see herself as God intended, “...fearfully and wonderfully made...”
